US model-year question
Best year for the Lincoln MKX?
No official US dataset names one best year. Complaint volume is not a reliability score. Use the comparison and the years with more reports as research priorities, then open the year dossier and check the VIN with the official NHTSA recall search.
What the stored evidence shows
How should you compare Lincoln MKX model years?
The stored comparison records 298 complaints for the 2007 Lincoln MKX and 253 for 2008. For 2007, the largest component label is air bags; for 2008, it is air bags. The separate recall projection lists 6 campaigns for 2007 and 7 for 2008. These complaint totals are not failure rates and do not adjust for vehicle numbers, age, mileage or condition, so they cannot establish a best year. Use the component labels to focus further research rather than assuming a diagnosis for an individual car.
Next step: Read the relevant year dossier and official campaign details, then check the exact VIN, specification and maintenance history.

The records cannot name a best Lincoln MKX year.
Complaint totals have no sales, mileage or age denominator. Recall campaign counts are official actions, not a quality ranking. Years with more reports to inspect: 2007, 2008, 2013.
Shortlist years only after comparing the complete matrix and opening their individual dossiers. Then verify the exact VIN, recall-remedy status, service history, mileage and condition. An independent inspection can reveal faults that a national complaint or recall dataset cannot describe for one particular vehicle.
